Bachelorette Party Ideas

Bachelorette Party Ideas

“A Survival guide to planning an unforgettable birthday party”

The process of planning your wedding is always going to be at least a little bit stressful and somewhat overwhelming – which is why throwing a bachelorette party is such a great way to blow off some steam, to relax, and to reboot when you feel you’re in the thick of things. We break down some of the best bachelorette party ideas to help jumpstart your planning, making life putting together a great bachelorette party (for yourself or for someone close to you) all whole lot easier. The very first thing you’re going to want to focus on when cooking up new bachelorette party ideas are the food and drink options you are going to serve or have served at the party.

Start with Food and Drinks

Proper food and drink can make or break a bachelorette party. The right choices can make even the most “ho-hum” bachelorette party over the top into something really special!

Gourmet Cocktail Slush

A signature cocktail for your bachelorette party can really help to elevate the festivities, and it doesn’t have to be anything crazy or expensive. The secondary benefit of being able to order one of these signature cocktails in the future and remembering your bachelorette party is pretty neat, too.

Sweet Table

It’s hard to imagine a bachelorette party without plenty of sweet treats, and rather than try and find a couple of dessert or candy options everyone will agree on instead think about putting together a sweet table that have a little bit of everything for everyone!

Chocolate Fountain

A chocolate fountain isn’t just a great way to elevate the food part of your party but is also a “touchstone” kind of party element that people will talk about for years and years to come.

Wine and Cheese

If you’re going for something a little simpler, little more understated, and a little bit subtler a wine and cheese assortment can give you the kind of high class experience you’re hoping to convey during your bachelorette party.

High Tea with A Mobile Coffee Bar

You would be hard pressed to find even just a few girls out there that didn’t have tea parties when they were younger, and a grown-up high tea option with a mobile coffee bar can take things to new levels while still adding plenty of fun and nostalgia.

Waffle Station

This is a great option for those that want to keep things fun and casual. Waffles can be dressed up at any point in time, perfect breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, and dessert options depending on when you serve them and what you serve them with.

This really can be a make or break a Bachelorette Party There are plenty of entertainment options available to begin choose from when it comes time to plan your bachelorette party, but you can’t go wrong picking from any combination of the following:
  • Spa Day cause lets be honest we all love a pampering
  • A yoga outing to get the blood flowing before a night out
  • Party games and scavenger hunts
  • A wine tasting tour. And yes we have a few of these in Joburg
  • A night out on the town with just the girls. Time to go clubbing like it’s the last night your single
  • A night or weekend away to a favorite retreat or just some extended girl time.
The important thing to remember is to keep things light, keep things fun, and keep things relatively open-ended. You want your bachelorette party to feel really organic, like there’s no real stop or start, and that there’s always the potential for something fun, exciting, and adventurous to happen at any moment!

Closing Thoughts

At the end of the day, if you’re still having a little bit of a tough time planning your bachelorette party all on your own – or just want to hand the heavy lifting off to someone that will plan the perfect bachelorette party for you without you having to stress at all – it might be a good idea to bring in the professionals. The experts at Sweet Solutions, a one stop shop bachelorette party planning service, have been producing fantastic, unique, and memorable bachelorette parties for brides and their girlfriends for years If you want to guarantee that you have the kind of bachelorette party that is truly unforgettable, this is the kind of professional help you want to bring on board.

Shake and Squeeze – Bartender’s secret to making great cocktails

Okay, so we going to let you in on a little trade secret here. There a many element’s that go into making a great cocktail but there are two golden rules when you are preparing your next favourite

That’s right, beyond just looking cool there is a real reason why mixologists and bartenders alike shake their ingredients when preparing a cocktail. Besides for just mixing the ingredients a good shake will activate and agitate all the ingredients. This is definitely a technique you want to adopt as the more flavour you have in your cocktail the better the taste!

Lime is to cocktails what salt is to food. And every bartender or mixologist worth his salt knows this trade secret. Lime serves as a taste enhancer and is used to round or smooth off the taste of any cocktail. So, if your cocktail is tasting a little flat add a squeeze of lime to liven up that dead aftertaste and add a needed zing to your cocktails. This concept holds true for Mojitos but instead of squeezing the mint leaves, give them a good slap to activate the minty freshness for your next cocktail.
